A Guide to Planting a Bee Garden.
Bees are very important and there are many people who have seen the need to plant the gardens these days. To start with, bees pollinate crops and therefore they are responsible for the human race that depends on these crops. If bees aren’t there anymore for pollination, then every person, as well as animal, will be dead. We have to make sure that bees don’t get extinct and the best way to do this is by creating a bee garden to ensure that they will always be there to pollinate the crops. This is how a bee garden should be created.
There are certain plants that are loved by bees and it is important that you know about them before you choose any plant for them. Most of the plant that you should plant should have a large landing area because this way, some bees will be able to get nectar. Smaller flowers should be next in line for planting since smaller bees depend on them for nectar.
Bees will always land on the plants that produce blue flowers because they are said to be nectar-rich and you should therefore plant them in large numbers. Bees will want to create a place for their own shelter and planting a hollow stem plant will mean that they are able to get what they really need. The garden you create should bloom throughout because bees will need nectar and to pollinate plants and this will be needed all year round.
While planting the garden, do not fill every other place with the plants. Leaving an open ground will ensure that when bees need shelter or to borrow, then they will have a place for doing this and planting the whole garden will not provide that important spot. You should ensure that the bees have access to water.
You should be careful during the control of harmful bugs and everything else. This is for the reason that bees are negatively affected by chemicals that control pests and therefore they should not be used on the plants. You should instead look for naturally made products that can control the pests but they will have no effect on the bees.
Creating a bee garden is not as hard as you may think. Increasing the natural population of the bees is therefore easy and you can do this by ensuring that they have all that they need and the environment is conducive for them. This will be an exciting thing to do and it will help you become a qualified beekeeper who never runs out of homey in their home.
